Depart Accra for Kumasi, the capital of
the Ashanti Region, about 280 Km. Stop for refreshment at Koforidua.
There will be another stop at Nkwakwa for a view of the Kwahu
Mountains. Arrival at Kumasi by 1 p.m, check-in
at one of the best hotels in Kumasi.
Lunch.
Tour of Kumasi starts immediately after Lunch. A guided
tour of Kumasi includes the Culture
and Craft Center where experts design, carve and
work on tradition Ashanti stools and the famous Kente fabric.
Lots of African hand-made goods will be available for sale. A
drive to the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum
and the Okonfo Anokye Sword Site. You will
view a sword said to have been driven into the ground by this
traditional priest with such force that it has remained there
for over two hundred years. Drive back to hotel.
